Description Edit | History

This game was first published by Parker Brothers in 1971. It is in fact not a game in itself but a game system. The rule-book includes 15 games for 2-4 players and 7 puzzles for 1 player. The difficulties of the games are very variable.

The parts and the board are without doubt build to last, with a very ingenious system which makes the wheels "click". Pieces are in four different colors and are numbered. This even gives the possibility to note the games or ways to the solutions of the puzzles. And there is also a custom die!

The Equipment

The custom die has 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 5 on its six faces.

The Games

Auriga
The Charioteer
A simple race game for 2-4 players, but not without choices. Each player (except first place) chooses whether to take three clicks, or roll the die to see how many clicks they get; first place must roll the die. The nature of the rotors causes each player's move to alter the position of the other players' "chariots".
Lepus
The Hare
This direct descendant of Halma (for 2-4 players) is made quite a bit more challenging by the puzzling interaction of the rotors with players' pieces.
Algol
The Demon Star

Libra
The Balance

Draco
The Dragon

Taurus
Star Clusters

Hydra
Sea Serpent
For 2 players, for 2 pairs of players, or for 4 players.
Bootes
The Herdsman

Cassiopeia

Orion

Aquila
The Eagle
This solitaire puzzle asks the player to envision two eagles carrying a heavy fish. The player must get the three to the other corner in 24 clicks, without either eagle dropping the fish.
Aurora Borealis
The Northern Lights

The Whirlpool Galaxy

The Herdsman Puzzle

Binary Star Puzzles

Orbit Solitaire

Aquarius Mental Telepathy Test
This is neither a game nor really even a puzzle, but rather an activity for a small gathering.
