DnD 4e Character Creation Reference.ods (34 KB) (Log in or Register to download.)
This is a spreadsheet that summarises the key abilities of different races and classes. This is handy when you know what kind of character you want to build but aren't sure which class or race is best suited for it. Handy reference that saves your from flipping pages back and forth.

A must for building balanced parties or min-max-ing extremists!

Comments, corrections, and suggestions welcome!

What do the numbers represent? And the colors before the names? And why is the second chart differnt from the first? And why does the Seeker have a number with no color fill in the first chart?

Well each sheet represents something different. Unfortunately I was not on the first tab when I saved this document it opens up on a random one.

Currently the document opens up on a tab called "Hybrid Class vs Key Abilities". It shows, for every hybrid class option in PHB3, what is listed as the primary, secondary, and tertiary abilities.

The colours indicate the sourcebook from which is this charcters originally appeared. To decode the colours go to the first tab labelled "Legend".

The reason there are two charts on the first page is that on the top one the classes are sorted alphabetically which makes it easier to look up an individual class.

In the bottom one I tried to group them by similarity so if you are looking for two hybrid-classes that go well together then this makes it easier.

If you have anymore questions feel free to ask. This spreadsheet has many tabs so go on and explore them. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask. This spreadsheet was aimed at people very familiar with the system but just want to look them up faster. I haven't put much thought into user-friendliness for the uninitiated.

Thank you! I honestly just did this for me, but I figured it'd be a shame not to share. I hope it useful for you and your players. Any and all feedback welcome.
