Uhuuu. Carnaval, that means boobs on the runaway.

These are the Rules

Who can participate?
Everyone can take part of the system, with the following exceptions: new users cannot list items unless they are a patron.

How to bid for an item?
If you see an item on this geeklist that you're interested in owning:
1. It couldn't be more simple. Just tip that entry 1 and you are entered to win that game.
2. Check the description to see if you are allowed more than one entry on the item, and if there are bonus for multiple geekgold bid.
3. The bid is binding. Which means that once you bid the item it is assumed that you read the entry completely, understood and therefore want to take part of the drawing. The lister doesn't have an obligation to give your tip back although most won't have an issue. If for some reason an user withdraws from a lottery and should not be chosen as an winner, the lister should contact me to have his name ignored.

How to put an item on the lottery?
If you have a game that you're willing to part with for a little geekgold:
1. Post it as an item on the list.
2. Include a full description of the edition that you have and its condition. Be very clear on conditions, marks and box
3. Specify if you will be limited in shipping options. If you ship internationally, if the shipping is on you, and if so how much.
4. Specify when your item will close for entries.
5. You can post Board Games, Video Games, RPGs, and related items. You cannot make a lottery for Geekgold or something completely unrelated the main entry, although these types of item can be added as bonus or as second winners. You can put gift cards as long as it is for an store related with the domains (i.e. no gift card to a convenience or department store allowed, but one for steam, funagain, drivethru rpg, etc can be raffled).
6. Always link to the correct item on the database. So if you are auctioning the Video Game version of Puerto Rico link to Puerto Rico and not to Puerto Rico.
7. To guarantee that the item will appear on the subscription page, allow for at least 1 week between listing and drawing.
8. Miscellaneous game entries, like FIMO miniatures, pimp items, etc should be added using Miscellaneous Game Accessory, Miscellaneous Miniatures Game Accessory or Miscellaneous Card Game Accessory as appropriate.
9. The item must be draw between February 1st, 2012 and February 29th, 2012

Specific rules for types of item
1. For board games, contact me before adding homemade versions of non-Print and Play games.
2. For RPGs remember that the spirit of these lotteries is one of fairness. So, make sure that if you offer a PDF version of a given book, that you have the right to resell it, put on the item that it is indeed a PDF. Personal scans, illegal digital copies and xerox of books are not permitted.
3. For video games, no pirated or bootleg version is allowed. Remember that some online versions have pretty strict rules on what you can do with your copy. So when offering a game, make sure that you indeed can transfer the full ownership of it to the user. In case a new potential user would have some restriction with the new game, like not been allowed to access official online serves, add this information to the post.
4. If you are in some way connected with the item in question, either as a publisher or as a designer, contact me before posting any such item. And send me the wording you intend for the entry.

What to do when the lottery ends?
1. When closed, use the Copycat Awesome Tool to select an winner.
2. Contact that person and arrange shipment of the game.
3. Send them the game.
4. Edit your geeklist item on this list with a note saying that "THIS ITEM IS CLOSED!" and to put the avatar of the winner, use the code [ username=name_of_winner] (without the space) for that.
5. When an item is closed don't delete them.

How to use the Copycat Awesome tool?
1. Go to Copycat Awesome Tool;
2. Use your BGG login and password to log into the tool. The password is not kept by it, but it is sent directly to BGG for authentication.
3. On the Home Page of the tool there is a list with all of your listed items, just click on the correct one;
3.1 Optionally go to Items->Check Item and type the unique id for your item. To get the number right click the Postdate on the geekitem and check the #itemid part, that is the id;
4. Once you are on the item page, click the Roll Item button. The button will appear on the beginning of the date you want the drawing, as seen by the server (the server is located at the GMT-4 timezone)
5. The next page will have the name(s) of the winner(s) and a block of text you can copy to post on the tool if you want.

What should I do if the tool is incorrect?
Part of the tool is updated manually by me. The drawing date, number of winners, bonus and rules, are added by me on the tool based on what is written on the item. I usually do an update a week, so after I do that your item should correctly appear on the tool.
Before you draw check if the item is correct. Check the number of winners that are activated, the amount of geekgold tipped, and if the rules are correct. In case there is any problems, contact me before rolling the item. I will fix the issue and contact you back so you can roll the item.

I want to use a different bonus structure, can I?
The answer is maybe. The tool is vary powerful and customizable but some things it can't do. By default, anything dealing with other items can't be done easily, nor can anything that is not a mathematical change on the geekgold. It is possible though to add special rules to items, so contact me before listing the item so I can tell you if it is possible. In the case the tool can't do it and I can't add,you can't use.

I think there is something wrong on an item, what should I do?
If you suspect that something is wrong with any item on the lottery, please contact me by GeekMail explaining which behavior you saw that got you suspicious. If you won an item and the lister is logging but not contacting you, or has disappeared from BGG contact me as soon as possible. If the item should have arrived already but hasn't and the lister is not being cooperative or answering your inquires, also contact me so we can solve this in a timely manner.

Can I tip back people who tipped me?
Yes, you can use the GeekGold any user tipped you to tip on one of his items for lottery, but with discretion. You are not allowed to enter in collusion with an user to circle tip each other to get your chances very high. Doing so will remove both from the lotteries and take the geekgold incurred during it. Simple getting a tip and tipping back is not a problem. If you realize that there is an item one user has that you really want, and he really wants one of yours. Propose a trade (users are encouraged to add, before listing, items they want to lottery off on their Trade list), and if it goes through you reimburse the geekgold of every other participant.

Additional rules and guidelines
1. Don't update more than once a day;
2. Editing for the sake of trying to attract people is bad behavior. Doing it everyday (countdown to draw) is even worst. When an entry is updated I go check it to see if I have to change anything on the tool entry for it, and when there are half the items with updates, that can be a bit difficult;
3.Posting on the Game's Forums or on the General Gaming forums and GeekMailing users about the offers your put on the lotteries is considered spam and should not be done. We have a very high profile subscription thread on the GeekBay forums, which should take care of adding visibility. Rare will be the user that wants to take part but doesn't know already about it.
4. You cannot reserve a spot on the geeklist by adding a TBA announced post while waiting to post latter, just to have an earlier place.

Special notes
Special Note #1: If you are giving an item, there is no guarantee for number of entrants. You must be prepared to give away your game even if you only receive a single geekgold entry. Do not enter a game unless you are prepared for that outcome!!

Special Note #2: If for any reason you are forced to withdraw a game you offered, you must refund all geekgold tipped to your entry.

Special Note #3: This is more a personal request, please try to avoid over complicated bonus schemes and shipping thresholds. Although I understand and find it funny when an user goes with 10 different levels of free shipping with some countries here and there, I have to update this info manually on the tool for it to show on the update, and that delays the subscription update (a simple listing takes 10 sec, a more complicated can take up to 2 minutes)

SPECIAL EDITION VERSION

This auction is for the Special edition of the Dungeons and Dragons 4th edition player's handbook. It is almost the same as the standard edition, except is is

VASTLY SUPERIOR!!!

The front cover is all shimmery and stuff (its foiled).
The page edges are silver guilded.
Errata (at the time) was added in print.
There is a page of sticky tabs in the read of the book for setting page-markers so you can easily find pages you use a lot.
Additional high quality flysheets front and rear.
I can send you some photos of condition etc and features if you want..

There have been minor pencil additions to the books in some places. The book is otherwise in excellent condition. All the silver guilding is in good condition. Only one of the page tabs has been used (the conditions page) and is still in place. All the others are still in place on the tab inset page in the back of the book.

Unfortunately I am a student, desperately trying to scrape GG together to bid on other auctions.. this means that i cannot afford a great deal of postage unfortunately... as follows..

if total GG less than 50 you will need to pay (sorry again)
50 - 200 full standard UK shipping (ÂŁ1 off elsewhere)
200 - 350 full European shipping
over 350 i will cover the first ÂŁ5
over 1000 (yeah right!) free worldwide shipping.

1GG = 1 bid
5GG = 6 bids
10GG = 13 bids
50GG = 80 bids
100GG = 200 bids

First 5 people to bid 10GG get 2GG back.
First 2 to bid 50GG get 10GG back.
first to bid 100GG gets 30GG back.

(only one rebate per person and you have to leave a reply to this item so i see you have bid)

DRAWING IS ON [SEE BELOW]
@461GG on the 29th
@500GG on the 28th
@550GG on the 27th
@600GG on the 26th
@650GG on the 25th
@1000GG today!
of course GG contributions to get to the early draw goals will still add the proper amount of bids.

DRAWING WILL TAKE PLACE TONIGHT AT ~10PM GMT. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE.

We Didn't Playtest This At All! Blue Cards

New/Mint/Never opened

The best and rarest WDPTAL expansion of them all!

I have to say, if you've never tried "We Didn't Playtest This At All!" you really must. You can expect a game to last maybe 2-3 minutes. It's the most ridiculous game I've ever come across. But it's nonsensical in just the right way to make everybody in the room start hyperventilating from laughing so hard. It's difficult to explain why such a "dumb" game could be so enjoyable, so you really just have to experience it for yourself.

1 = 1 entry
5 = 7 entries
25 = 42 entries

Item closes Feb. 29th.

This is for a new in shrink copy of the Eclipse: Supernova expansion which was briefly available through the geekstore. My copy of Eclipse has fallen through (turns out to not be arriving) and it looks like I'll have to wait until the reprint in May.

My loss is your possible gain. I figure it is silly to have an expansion sit around for 3+ months while someone else could be enjoying it.

1 gets you one entry
5 gets you 6
10 13
100 150

Free shipping world wide. This is a 9 inch square set of cardboard punch out pieces so should fit easily in a flat rate envelope through USPS. I'll make sure it is well protected

Drawn on 2/26 with Sol's tool.

Part 1 of the Big Reiner Knizia Madness

This item is for one brand new and in foil copy of Poison - Amigo Travel Edition

It is exact the same game but instead of a box the game is stored in a convenient fabric travel case with zipper.

Edit: Free worldwide shipping!

Bonus structure:
1 -> 1 entry to the lottery
10 -> 11 entries to the lottery
100 -> 150 entries to the lottery
500 -> 1000 entries to the lottery

If 750 are reached I will draw a second winner for another copy of this.

If 1500 are reached I will draw a third winner for another copy of this.

I reserve myself the right to add additional prizes!

Winner will be drawn with Sol's awesome Tool on 29th of February.

The big special Prize:

(a Kniziaesque special)

If this is the game of the Reiner Knizia Madness with the least tips (when all 4 items are closed/ which will be closed at the same time) I will make a geek roll on this item to determine a winner.

Q: What does the winner of this bis special price get?
A: All the geekgold tipped on the item.

Q: What can I do to participate?
A: Tip a least 7 on the item with the least tipped on and leave a Knizia-related comment beneath the item ( a poem to Knizia, a list of your Knizia games, a special gaming experience with a Knizia game, a haiku about Knizia...) .

Q: How will this geekroll thing work?
A: I will create a list of participants (in order of their comments) and then make a geekroll. Everyone has only one chance to win. Multiple comments on one item don't increase your chances to win.

Lance and Richard, your Reiner comments were so well prepared that you are each going to get 20GG from me for their cleverness!

For the people who missed this at the BGG store, here's (yet) another chance at getting the Catan Island for 7 Wonders. It's new in shrink, and I got this at Essen last year.

It was sold at the fair, with all proceeds from the sale being donated to Aktion Deutschland Hilft, a coalition of renowned German relief aid organizations. I bought a few for friends and find myself with an extra one now.

I'm not aware of any misprints, what side is it on? It's still in shrink and the side that's visible (the B-side) looks fine.

This auction is for one of the large Cthulhu statue miniatures. The base is a 1.5 inch (4 cm) square, and it's about 2 inches (5.5 cm) high.

These are used as domain markers in the Call of Cthulhu LCG, but are really nice sculpts, and are actually modeled after H.P. Lovecraft's description of the statuette in his short story Call of Cthulhu. They could be used for many purposes, not the least of which as an excellent first player marker in Arkham Horror.

I will also paint this up to your specifications, whichever way you want it.

These will likely turn out to be my last ones, so this is your final chance to win one of my listings for these!

Here's some examples of ones I've painted, for myself and for previous winners:

Entries:
1 = 1 entry
10 = 12 entries
50 = 75 entries

Bonus:
200 = If this listing reaches 200 I will throw in a second figure.
400 = If this reaches 400 I will throw in a third one.
These bonus figures will also be painted to your specifications, they can receive different painting schemes should you desire so.

Last and certainly least is this sorry excuse for an expansion to Metropolys. 4 new goal cards? Is that it? Or is the game so perfectly balanced that any more would ruin it?

Anyway, if you've got Metropolys, grab them and see. If they turn out to be as crap as they sound and you want to start something with Rio Grande, or even owners of other games better served by the Ystari box, then I've got your back. As long as we make it quite clear from the start that there's no punching in the face.

Up for GG auction is my personal X-box 360, works fine and has all of its cords. It is an white older model. Theres lots of bonuses and stretch rewards to be had, if it gets high enough you get a very nice package for only the cost of shipping.

I tried to auction it off here on BGG but no one pulled the trigger so I'll try it here. I am getting rid of it because I was accepted into a volunteer program and am moving to Israel. Everything works fine. Exact shipping must be covered by the winner, international is welcome if they dont mind paying the shipping.

Auction ends:
Feb 29th 2012

Ok the base auction is for the following:
Console (all cords)
1 wireless controller

1 = 1 Entry
5bag = 6 Entries
10bag = 13 Entries
20bag = 28 Entries
50bag = 75 Entries

Stretch Rewards:
100bag = Battlefield 3 Limited Edition Strategy Guide
200bag = 20 GB HDD (That was quick laugh)
400bag = Battlefield 3 Limited Edition
600bag = 120 GB HDD (with data transfer cable)
1000bag = Turtle Beach Geforce X11 Headphones w/ mic (These will also work on your PC)

Andrew's right, there is a movement back towards physical board games and they are big in Germany particularly- I'm sure we can all recommend a few you can try to get you started. I'm sure there are a couple of recommendation threads here started by people asking which board games they should get first.

Have you tried boardgames like Monopoly or Risk?

Eh? I thought they were t-shirts.

Pictured edition.

Unpacking some boxes we haven't gone through in a few years and I ran across this shoved under some other books. I managed to sneak it away from the 'goodwill' box my wife is putting together so that it can go to a good home.

I will draw for this item on Feb 29th using Sol's tool. Someone will get a real treat, the rest of you, just tricks I'm afraid.

BIDDING:

1 = 1 Bid
5 = 6 Bids

SHIPPING:

FREE WORLDWIDE.

BONUS:
As an added bonus, I will draw a second name after drawing the winner's name. This person will get all of their donated back. If the second pick is the same as the first I will draw again until a second winner is drawn. IE: YOU CAN NOT WIN THE GAME AND THE SECONDARY REFUND.
