There is a seemingly growing anti-D20 crowd. While I'm not a fan of WOTC as a company they have produced some decent stuff, shame they seem to have stopped making all their best stuff though.

I like D20 Modern as a ruleset as most people know some D20 system so it's easy to get into. And with it you can play pretty much any setting you like. The default D20 Modern setting is very much Buffy, and I always planned on running an Buffy style D20 modern game. But I've just bought the Buffy RPG, so I doubt that will ever happen how. I may still user D20 Modern to run a d20 Apocalypse game though.
