Scene Stealers

User summary

Scene Stealers is a 24-hour RPG set in an episode of a science fiction TV show.

Players take the roles of the actors of the show. Each actor tries to accumulate star points to become the winner of the episode. This can be achieved by drawing the focus of a scene on the actor like making a speech, defeating a villain, seducing a guard, etc.

Task resolution is based on three stats: Acting!, Action!, and Hot!. Each stat determines how many dice a character may roll to gain successes. A success is achieved on 1-2 on d6. Who has the most successes wins. Every actor has also a special ability like "Technobabble" or "Gun Happy" that aids him during special scenes.

Scene Stealers also gives each player some action cards that she can use to influence the scenes. They include writing another actor out of the scene, getting extra dice ("Studied with Shatner"), stealing star points, etc.

Obviously, this is not always a cooperative game.
