User Summary:

Characters have five attributes: Strength, Speed, Karma, Chi, Mind. Additionally characters have a fighting style and two stances in that style.

Randomisation uses a deck of playing cards consisting of Ace to 10 in each suit, the King of Spades and the King of Diamonds (giving results of 1 to 10 - which adds to an attribute value for contested actions - and a 1/42 chance of a critical success or failure).
