Edwin Longsden Long, RA (July 12, 1829 - May 15, 1891) was an English artist and painter. Born in Bath, Somerset, he studied at Dr. Viner's School in Bath and at the British Museum. Long was greatly influenced by the paintings of Spanish artists. In 1874, he visited Egypt and Syria which influenced his artwork.
His artwork was used for a Cubicle 7 role-playing book where his 1888 painting Alethe, Attendant of the Sacred Ibis in the Temple of Isis at Memphis AD 225 was used as the cover art.
