From website:

Born in Matheson Ontario, to a French Canadian family, I was introduced to my life’s passion when I was about 4 or five years of age. My older brothers and sisters were fighting to get the newspaper and I was intrigued as to why all this mayhem was happening. Once everyone had seen it, it was discarded on the table. Invariably, it was open to the comic pages. It didn’t take long for me to feel lightning strike. It was love at first sight.

When I was 8 years old, my father remarried (my mother died when I was 2 ½ years old) and the we moved top to the small town of l’Assomption in Quebec my family moved to Quebec.

My step-mother had cottages in the Laurentians which she rented for the summer. One of the families she rented to was the Clarks, who happened to be English. They had a young son about my age and he brought a box of comics with him to the cottage. This happened in the early 1960′s. That was the second time that lightning struck. I discovered then, the incredibly wonderful world of comics. Even if I couldn’t read the comics because they were in English, the art alone was enough. I spent all my days reading them.

From that time onward, whenever I could, I would buy comics. I would read American, French, Italian, Spanish, and British comic books. It didn’t matter where they came from, I would read and study anything I could put my hands on. I spent all my time drawing, trying to imitate what I saw.

I studied art at L’universite du Vieux Montreal and I had to decide whether I would continue to study drawing in Belgium or check out the comic book scene in Canada. I chose to stay and Canada and I made my way to Winnipeg. There I had the opportunity to work on Captain Canuck, where I meet George Freeman, Richard Comely and Ron Leishman.

Shortly after we moved the company to Calgary, I met the love of my life, Jacqueline, a most wonderful individual. We had two terrific children, Claudine and Joël.

I worked for a while in the graphic design industry, but was not really happy doing it and with the support of my exceptional wife, went back to my passion, comic books. I have worked for most of the American publishers and a few Canadian ones as well.

At the moment, I work for DC Comics on the R.E.B.E.L.S. series. I love it and could not ask for a better project at this point in my life. I live in Alberta and I am now blessed with three beautiful grandchildren.
