Writer for Gaming Frontiers (Volume 4).
Duane Cunningham has written a limited number articles or letters for wargaming or RPG magazines. He is currently an active gamer in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area. He has a history as wargame playtester for the last 20 years with an occasional credit, and has been war gaming regularly since 1981. As an avid gamer, Duane is a member of the Historical Miniature Gaming Society (HMGS)-South, and South-Florida Miniature Gamers (SMG). He has actual degrees from attending the University of Alaska in Anchorage, and the University of Miami, which have helped provide a vocation with a decent salary that supports the expensive hobby of miniature war-gaming. A really all around good guy, veteran, fraternity brother, armchair general, Scotch drinker, and political pundit, with a an actual third wife, with children, that supports his hobbies. And when he has enough brownie points saved up, he actually is given time to participate in games or conventions. As an experienced gamer, and play-tester, and closet historian, he has also run several convention games at HURRICON, and RECON for HMGS South in Florida going back 10 years, and assisted others in running games for HMGS-South and SMG. Previously, he had played with the Anchorage Miniature Gamers, and Campaign Headquarters in Norfolk, VA, and with a group of war gamers on Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland in the 80s. He is not the Duane Cunningham from Binary Options, or the DJ/cartoonist in Kansas who is an announcer for a roller derby team.
