A game by designer Michael Scott, which went through various revisions and titles using the same system:
"Space Patrol" came out in 1977.
"Star Patrol" came out as a boxed set in 1981 and again in 1982. There was a supplement.
A third version, "Starfleet Voyages" came out from a different publisher (Terra Games) in late 1982.
The "Space Patrol" system was also the basis of the original Heritage Model's 1978 release "Star Trek: Adventure Gaming in the Final Frontier"
The co-designer of these games -- Michael "Scotty" Scott -- has been listed on the various products under a number of names: Michael Scott, Michael Scott Kurtick, and Michael J. Scott. He was designer of some classic sci-fi boardgames such as Starguard!, Strike Team Alpha, Star Fleet Battle Manual and the Alien Space Battle Manual.
