"User Summary:
Tokyo NOVA is a Japanese "urban action" RPG from 1993, and exists currently in four editions: Tokyo NOVA, Tokyo NOVA The 2nd Edition, Tokyo NOVA, Tokyo NOVA The Revolution and Tokyo NOVA The Detonation.
The setting is in the near future, and has attributes usually connected with cyber punk, but as there is no focus on neither depravated violence nor mechanic bodies, the creators have avoided the word, instead calling the game a "Cyber Action" or "Urban Action" game.
One of the rarer qualities with Tokyo NOVA is that it makes no attempt to force the players into a group - instead the game explicitly orders players to move only according to their own motives, allowing players to be completely separate during play, using a cinematic "scene-by-scene" rules system. Some scenarios even pin players against each other (this piece of info from Japanese Wikipedia).
