Turncoats is a small and somewhat experimental GM-less story game about military deserters. Players take the roles of simple archetypes, defining each other's characters before setting off into the wilderness. Life on the run quickly exposes their faults as they struggle with one another and the elements.
The game is simple, light and story-driven, and carries a somber tone of inevitability. There's no power fantasy here; the basic mechanic of the game is to expose each character in a moment of weakness to the judgement of others.
