Play begins with a collaborative session that establishes the setting, the goals, and the difficulties that will be experienced during play. These then are handed to the game master for implementation and player create characters. Characters are defined by Traits (narrative tags), with scores running from 0 to 12.
Characters may chose to act individually, collaboratively, or at cross purposes. Generally, the rules assume collaborative play and offer bonuses and benefits to this style. Action resolution uses a modified die roll against a target difficulty.
