A blend of rules for playing version 3.0 Dungeons and Dragons as well as expanding use of the miniatures for skirmishes and mass battles.
For campaign players there are new classes (Favored Soul, Healer, Marshal, Warmage) as well as prestige classes, magic items and spells. For dungeon masters there are new monsters.
The book also includes information on how to read D&D Miniatures stat cards and play out battles based on them. These battles can be either skirmish (where each miniature is an individual) or mass battles (where miniatures move in units).
Finally, the book offers a random dungeon for quick play; this concept would later be further developed into the pre-defined dungeon delve.
