Our homebrew rpg rules for handling a fantasy wuxia based game. The system tries to provide a balance between basic mechanics and the ability for players to have diverse and interesting combat options. The system includes deep and easy to customize martial arts maneuver rules, a flexible magic system and interesting options for those playing courtiers. It uses a dice pool mechanic close to classic Storyteller, but rebuilds things from the ground up. While still being worked and reworked, the combat system tries to avoid the defense depletion problems of other like pool systems.
The game draws some inspiration from Weapons of the Gods, Qin: the Warring States and Exalted, but aims for faster play and less detail.
The sketches of the mechanics used for this homebrew campaign. Provides what I think is an interesting approach to a freeform MA system, but one which does add a certain degree of complexity. The Courtier rules need significant rebalancing.
