Clanbooks (nWoD)

The Clanbooks for Vampire: the Requiem follow a very different format from previous books published for the World of Darkness (nWoD) or the Clanbooks published for previous iterations of Vampire. These five books are all presented in a soft-cover format and consist of dozens of scattered entries: newspaper clippings, handwritten accounts, transcripts of interviews, etc. Each is roughly narrated by a compiler or collector of information about the clan in question. The books are very 'rules-light' and focus much more on flavor and setting materials, though each has a section in the back with the game mechanics information.
