Each of the locations presented in this series is described by three types of maps. The first, the Dungeon Master's Map, depicts the entire location on a single page. The second, the Battlemap Outline Map, shows the DM's Map divided into smaller maps, each numbered, that correspond to an equivalent battle map. The battle maps themselves are the third type of map. These are to be printed out, taped together, and used as a playing surface by the DM and his player group.
How the DM uses these maps is up to him. Each can form the basis for a single adventure. They could all be linked to form one large cavern complex. The DM can easily alter them if he or she sees fit. However the DM chooses to use these maps, the Fantasy Cartographic hopes that they are useful and can eliminate even a small part of the burden of DMing.
