User Summary:
In the mythology of the Garou (Werewolves) the great trinity called the Triat consist of the Weaver, Wyrm, and Wyld. The Weaver, embodiment of order, spun the Pattern Web and created the fabric of the universe. The Wyld, embodiment of chaos, was the source of creativity and change. If either of these two gained too much influence, the Wyrm would attack their works bringing them into harmonious balance. The problems started when the Weaver gained consciousness and began spinning more and more of reality into its webs. It tried to spin the Wyld into its web, but the impossibility of this task drove it insane. Instead, it trapped the Wyrm in the webs and drove it mad as well, so that now it attacked anything it saw mindlessly. The Garou are children of the Wyld and try to protect Gaia from the Weaver and the Wyrm in a futile battle against overwhelming odds.
The books in this series go into more detail about the background and minions of each member of the Triat, and their interactions with Werewolves.
