I'm hoping it's really good -- on par with the original Delta Green. However, their other recent releases Final Flight and The Mysteries of Mesoamerica didn't really get my imagination flowing as much as the original Delta Green and its Delta Green: Countdown follow up.

Agree....though I liked Mysteries of Mesoamerica not the uuumph of Delta Green and Countdown. But still preety good.
Besides this I'm also awaiting a book which updates Delta Green to the 21st century. The info on the two main books are 90s.
I think with the end times looming. Looks like Delta Green and SV-8 are probably going to ally or get desperate and lash out.

Delta Green and Delta Green: Countdown are very much products of the 90s. They effectively and eloquently captured the zeitgeist of the time they were written. If you read them fresh now, they do appear a bit dated.
I'm hoping that the new millennium book will capture the current zeitgeist. If it does, it'll be awesome. If it's a step or two off, it'll seem out of place.
I'm curious what would happen if forensic accountants and other such types started piecing together some of the shady money movements that fund Delta Green. Would they pass their info up the chain? If they do, what happens when DHS finds out about it? I think it would be interesting if DHS thought they found a secret black ops group that had been operating on US soil and tried to reign the group in and bend it to its will. "What do you mean you fight monsters? We all fight monsters every day; terrorists, drug cartels, human smugglers, CITES violators... What do you mean by 'real monsters'?"

I think probably Delta Green got contingences for that one.
Delta Green probably has sympathizers in DHS who will make sure the paperwork "get lost".

Question is, are MJ-12's friends bigger? They might like nothing better than to see DG knocked around a bit.

MJ-12, Probably, Adolph Lepus has a hard on for causing problems for Delta Green.
However, I think MJ-12 probably wants Delta Green to survive as a possible counter or stalking horse to its possible enemies.
I think MJ-12 knows about Delta Green's money trail but probably thought it wise not to interere with it...for now.
Anyways besides government money trail. Delta Green probably gets money on the side not only from the gov. A variety of sources of legitimate and illegal. I wouuld not put it above Delta Green in its desperation to survive to go into business with criminal organizations, overseas govs etc. I bet some cells moonlight as mercenaries or hitmen.
This goes for the Axiom, The End Justifies the Means.

Oh yeah, I'm sure any misappropriated money forms a small portion of DG's very small operating budget, especially at the cell level.
I'm curious to see what the future holds for DG. I'm hoping it undergoes a massive shake-up. If DG stays the same while the world changes around it, I think I'll end up bored.

I think probably the most major shakeup already occured with the death of their comptroller in a MJ-12 raid.
I think they won't remain the same. Probably become more cowboy and desperate with the end times coming.
Maybe even a minor alliance or understanding with elements of MJ-12. Maybe Lepus finally sees through the MI-go influence in MJ-12.
Money???not to mention a cut from drug sales, illegal weapons sales, security outsourcing(Blackwater etc.), extortion, protection racket and good ol looting after an operation(mythos or otherwise).

So far, I've been impressed with Delta Green: Targets of Opportunity. It's a really solid book.
