Has Wizards said anything - hard dates, mentioned in passing, or otherwise - about whether or not d20 Modern will be brought back with rules similar to the new 4e ruleset?

(Yes, I'm aware that nearly all of the crunchy bits of d20 Modern were released under the OGL. I'm asking about first-party support... and, well, I adore Bill Slavicsek's work; I haven't not had fun with one of his games yet.)

From interview:
Quote:
We are very interested in exploring some other areas where the Fourth Edition rules can go. We wanted to make sure we had a good solid foundation for Fourth and for D&D first, but we fully recognize that this ruleset can be applied to other genres very easily. Personally, I’d love to do a superhero game. I also think a 4e Gamma World kind of game would be really cool, but that said I think you can go less fantastic, too. I think that just the idea that you can heal yourself without magic spells or high tech equipment makes pulp action, spy games, all those sorts of things, much much more playable. So I think it’s safe to say that we’ll be exploring other genres in the future.

D20 modern with rules alike 4th edition is pretty far, i remember 5 or 6 years ago. we were talking about D20 Modern miniatures and how it could be focused. But d20 modern didn´t really make into 3.5 edition of D&D.
