Your mouse hovered over the badge? Congratulations! It has been immersed in acid and perished. Do you want to try again?

The monster you seek can be found somewhere in a tower in Terra Australis Ignota.

We were missing Greg for this session, which meant that Nathaniel (Will), Adam (Deel) and myself (Miles) would be going at it alone. Of course, we're also 17th level by this point - and I finally have 100 hit points.

In the previous adventure, we'd learnt where Master Denia had been taken by the Inquisitors and had gained permits to take a mining ship into the world of Prakith. It was tense making our way past the Imperial Interdictors, but they were actually quite pleasant. Our first challenge came from a distress call from a nearby moon - a team of engineers had crashed their ship there. We got permission from the Imperial authorities to divert there and rescue them, only to find some of the most incompetent engineers we've ever seen.

Yes, they might be brilliant theoretical engineers, but they are terrible practical engineers. Disassembling a starship in flight is not a good idea, whatever they might think.

We fixed their craft, and - as we were leaving it - spotted Mynocks chewing on their power cables. This prompted our own search of our craft and, sure enough, the crafty buggers were there as well. Deel made sure to remove them and, soon enough, we were on our way to Prakith City.

Once at the city, we wandered about the settlement to get our bearings. Many mining companies were at work on the planet, and getting to the Inquisitor base would be very tricky indeed. Talking with the miners revealed how extensive the mines and tunnels were about the planet, and we thought about disguising ourselves as miners and slipping in that way.

Before we could engage on any of our plans, however, we needed to rescue one of the engineers *again*, after some thugs were picking on him for being an alien. After cleaning him up and setting him on his way, we ran into a really weird creature which displayed some rudimentary intelligence and speech and beckoned us into the tunnels below.

There, it showed us this pool that seemed to have its child in it - as far as we could understand. What it actually had was this giant slime monster that basically grappled us and hurt us dreadfully. (As an aside, Size bonuses to grapple checks are terrible broken. I'm not pleased to see them still in Saga edition). Once I was grabbed, I couldn't escape and as it was Pinning and Crushing both me and Will, that left it up to Deel to save us. Thankfully, he could, but it was a most unsatisfying combat.

This released a small blob from its centre which our "guide" grabbed and cradled. We ended the session at this point, but - with any luck - we've gained his trust and we can reach the Inquisitor's base next session.
