The intrepid RPG Geek crew are proud to announce a new set of Microbadges specifically for RPG designers, editors, artists and publishers! You guys are one of the major cornerstones of our hobby - while you need players, you most certainly need games to play. Thanks for being involved in our hobby and creating great games for us to play!
Currently, the ‘Geek only has one type of uberbadge to recognize Game Designers:
This is the same badge that is used over on the BoardgameGeek. However, not everyone is comfortable sporting a somewhat large uberbadge in their user block and it doesn’t leave much in the way of differentiating the various activities that are done when bringing an RPG game to market. So, we have decided to introduce a new set of Microbadges that will allow for a bit more diversity in the various roles played by people in creating a game. These micros are independent of the GAME DESIGNER uberbadge - one does not replace the other (and if you want to sport your GAME DESIGNER uberbadge and one or more of these micros - no problem!).
There are four badges, but we are accommodating variations of mouseover text for some added flexibility. The badges were a collaboration of three highly talented graphic artists and are as follows:
 - RPG Designer
 - RPG Author
 - RPG Writer
(to qualify for this microbadge, you must be listed in the RPG Geek database as an RPG Designer)
 - RPG Artist
(to qualify for this microbadge, you must be listed in the RPG Geek database as an RPG Artist)
 - RPG Editor
 - RPG Production Staffer
(to qualify for this microbadge, you must be listed in the RPG Geek database as an RPG Production Staffer)
 - RPG Publisher
(to qualify for this microbadge, you or your company must be listed in the RPG Geek database as an RPG Publisher)
There are no other alternate texts available - please don’t ask. Many Bothans died to bring us these badges.
If you qualify for one (or more) of these badges, just respond to this thread with a link to your designer/artist/production page here on the RPG Geek and let us know which badge/text you would like. The Microbadge is free for those that qualify. I hope that you will wear them proudly - and pass the word along to any other qualifying people so that they can claim their RPG designer/artist/editor microbadge as well.
We are also looking into having these micros link directly to your designer/artist/editor page here on the 'Geek. Stay tuned - but don't wait to get your badge as that feature will come as an free and automatic upgrade!

The problem was that you had a fake GAME DESIGNER badge  The badge you bought can be used for anything. The GAME DESIGNER badge must be awarded - which I've done for you.
