A grassroots effort to raise awareness about the Suppressed Transmission collections has begun in order to show Steve Jackson Games there's a market for further collections containing the currently unpublished transmissions.
The original discussion thread began on RPG.net. From there, it made inroads to role-playing blogs and Twitter -- hashtag #st1000.
If you've already been entranced by Kenneth Hite's essays on history, occultism, conspiracy theory and the oddities contained therein, share some of what you loved about them.
If you haven't given Suppressed Transmission a try yet, go ahead. They make for stimulating entertainment as much as a cornucopia of role-playing adventure and campaign ideas. There's a "Where I Read" thread on RPG.net to give you a taste of the creamy nougat brain candy within.

Hands down the best stuff from Pyramid. I wish I had taken advantage of backing those articles up when I had the full electronic subscription to Pyramid. Every single essay contained enough sheer creative power to build and run a campaign for a year. If they ever bring more collections out-- and they don't need to do anything fancy, just reprint the originals-- I will buy them immediately.

Thanks Tyler! Consider awareness raised (I didn't know about the books - but have the 'First Broadcast' on order now).

By the title I though this was about Scientologist, glad it is about Steven Jackson. Need to read more about it now.

It's fun stuff to read about. Jürgen just commented on one my favorite columns of the series, about the concept of hollow history.

I have both of the original Suppressed Transmission books, and consider them the best investment I have ever made in RPG info. Ken Hite is one of the two best RPG writers out there (the other being S. John Ross).
In his forward to volume one of the two existing collections of ST (at least in this reality), John Tynes said it best: "There are no topics so diverse that Ken Hite can't bring them into brilliant, screaming collision."
Here there are alternate histories, conspiracy theories, a guidebook to the El Dorado metro area, and even the Frankenstein Family history. There are interesting historical figures, too: The Emperor Norton I, Le Comte de St. Germaine, H.H. Holmes and many more, both in their historical settings and intriguing alternates.
I never plan on sending Robin Hood in an invisible battleship to investigate the disappearance of the Roanoke colony, but thanks to Ken Hite, I know I could pull it off if I had to.

They are well worth it. I've got both collections and I'm hoping this campaign works. I'll definitely buy more.

According to this post there were a total of 301 ST columns. Only 34 + 34 = 68 columns were collected in the first two books, which leaves 233 columns still available, or almost SEVEN more books of material!
At $20-$25 a volume, that's $210 to $275 I'd be willing to pour into Evil Stevie's pockets.

This little movement got a Daily Illuminator post this morning, with both Phil Reed and Steve Jackson attesting how much they would like to publish the whole body of Suppressed Transmission.
