I am new to PF, and to RPG's in general, and I just got a copy of the 2010 Free RPG adventure with the 6 uniue heroes. I notice that the monster entries reer to the bestiary frequently, do you need that book along with the core to play? I ask because some of the rules make no sense, such as the spiders throwing a web at the party until someone is stuck...with no rules for the web shooting to be seen! Thanks.

Yes, you need the Bestiary. However note that the main content of that book is all available online. Go to paizo.com and look for the link to the Pathfinder database on the left side.
Edit: ok, here's the direct link: http://paizo.com/prd

Do you mean Master of the Fallen Fortress? I've been running that as a PBF game, and I've got a review in the pipeline for it. In the meantime, I'll say this: it is a bad module for a starting GM.
A number of monsters have templates applied, but the statblocks aren't given, so the GM has to do all the workings out himself. Also, the way the rooms connect vertically isn't immediately obvious. For less than ten pages of adventure, there's a lot to get your head around.
If you don't have the Bestiary, the best module to start with is probably Crypt of the Everflame. It came out before the Bestiary, and hence includes all of the statblocks you need. It's also got sidebars to provide GM advice.
Another option is The Godsmouth Heresy, but you'll need to get the Bestiary (or refer to the PRD online) as some statblocks are not included.
In terms of buying the Bestiary: for my online game, using the PRD has been fine. For a table-top game, I think trying to use the PRD on a laptop (or printing out pages) would get annoying pretty quickly.

The artwork and layout of Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Bestiary is worthwhile. Having 350 classic baddies to throw at your players (or, heck, just to flip through to spark imaginative ideas!) makes it a good purchase.
Admittedly, I have a bit of a love affair with quality monster books and this one doesn't disappoint.

Some other options;
a) Convert. Many fantasy adventures are pretty much the same. So either substitute the monsters in the adventure for ones you have in an available book, or get another fantasy adventure and adapt it to Pathfinder.
b) Search. If you're looking for a free PF adventure, try DriveThruRPG and see if you can find any free PF downloads. Also look at the PF magazines, which may have a free adventure. I know parrais has a geeklist of free Pathfinder products you should take a look at. Horror at Daggar Rock, on the Paizo website, is a very good free adventure, although, as a new game master, you may want to trim down the first part to something you can handle.
Yeah, here ya go. At least two free adventures here: http://www.rpgnow.com/index.php?filters=0_0_0_44235&page=1&s...
