I just stopped by Half Priced Books and I saw an old copy of Boot Hill on sale for $9 everything is 20% off over memorial day weekend. The box is completely brittle and falling apart not sure if all the parts are there or not. There were a bunch of itty bitty chits in the box.

Should I get this? Perhaps I could offer it up in the chain of generosity.

Yes. If you don't want it, I'll buy it off you just for nostalgia's sake (we spent the summer of 1984 playing Boot Hill on the front porch of my house).

What components should be in the box. There were a bunch of small chits what else should be in there?

IIRC the rulebook, a set of percentile dice (and crayon), a double-sided map, and the chits.

Ok I'll go see if the parts are there I know the die and crayon don't matter but I'll look for the other stuff.

Are you at an APO address or a regular German address?

Oh, that would be SUPER cool. The dice or crayon are irrelevant; the game is kind of useless without the map though. I'm a regular German address, but obviously I'll cover the shipping so don't worry too much about that - it's fairly light and well, it is Boot Hill, after all. cool

You pulled the trigger too soon on the GG. I went back this morning and the game was gone. Oh the overpriced Gamma World 1E was still there but Boot Hill was gone. I'm sorry to get your hopes up. I'm disappointed as it was a good deal for me to buy it play it once and ship it off and have the cost covered.

I'll keep an eye out for other hard to find games.

PS Who are these discerning gamers swooping into my local Half Priced Books and buying these classics? And how can we meet and play?

No worries - the GG was for the gesture, not the result.
