My armor is contempt. My shield is disgust. My sword is hatred. In the Emperor's name, let none survive.
When I now saw this Coppelius, the frightful and terrific thought took possession of my soul, that indeed no one but he could be the Sandman.

Murder most foul
Players: Snorri, a Dwarven journeyman runesmith Ronny, a Human priest of Morr Arwen, an Mutant-Elf journeyman bright wizard Alex, a Human hedgecraft master
Our players are getting ready to leave Talabheim. They decide to go to Middenheim as Arwen has to do his assassination quest there. And they can earn some money by transporting an icon of Sigmar from Talabheim to Middenheim. Before they leave though Arwen decides to go to the palace and set fire on the tapestry on the walls (burning carpet will be an ongoing quest as it's one of the ingredients he needs for a spell). He's quickly seized by the guards and brought before Countess Elise. She's furious. If it wasn't for him helping to save the city she would have had him executed on the spot. As it is they decide to brand him, forcing him to leave Talabheim and never return. She also orders to decapitate his part of the statue they've build in honor of Talabheims saviors.
The party leaves Talabheim by coach. The journey to Middenheim is uneventful and they arrive after 2 days of travel. They go to the temple of Sigmar right away to deliver the icon (and a few statues). Father Morten greets them and is very excited by the Icon. He thanks them with some gold and a few charms depicting Sigmar. It's obvious to the players that the priests of Sigmar try to force their belief on others, trying to spread their religion which is small compared to the church of Ulric here in Middenheim. He bids them farewell and the players decide to go to bed.
In the morning they are stopped in the streets of Middenheim by some guards. They are brought before Ulrich Schutzmann, the watch commander, who informs them that Father Morten has been murdered. Ulrich requests them to investigate the murder cause most the guards are busy elsewhere in the city. So they return to the temple of Sigmar to investigate the murder. The priests of Sigmar bring them to the living quarter of Father Morten where they find his body at his desk. They discover a dart in his neck and determine he's been killed by a poisoned dart shot through the window behind him. They find the statues but there is no trace of the icon. They also discover a paper on his desk with notes about the icon.
During the investigation Arwen decides to set fire to the rug. He burns a hole in it and the others are able to extinguish the fire. They roll up the carpet and Arwen tries to leave the temple with the carpet but the priests of Sigmar stop him. He has to leave it behind and the players decide to get out of there asap before the priests discover the hole in the rug.
Outside they go to the window and are able to find some tracks to the sewer. They enter the sewer and after walking a few hundred meters discover some mutants in it. They kill the mutants and decide to return to the surface with some of their bodies and sell them to a dubious barber-surgeon. Ronny requests for a new left hand by using on of the mutants hands. The barber-surgeon agrees but attaches a right hand instead. Arwen asks to help him with his mutation. The barber-surgeon suggests some form of liposuction and nearly kills Arwen in the process. He recovers though and looks like a "normal" elf again.
