My guess is that we're supposed to handle this without Aggie, although I suppose you could suggest it. Our illustrious leader could just have her say no if he wants us to handle it.
She's obviously desperate, which will probably make investigating this fun and probably painful.
I say we discuss it in character, suggest Aggie if you want, or at worst have her go with one of us as a distraction.

Off to bed. I usually won't be up much past 10:00 on weeknights. (10 now).

Me too. I'm loving your voice for Vince. Short and sweet and you are creating such an interesting character.
I loved the line about being a push over for dames, trusting them all.
-
-
Thanks. You're doing great with Ralph too. A couple of suspcious guys. Must be why they're both still alive.
As far as the dames, I figure if the GM is going to get us in trouble, I might as well give him good ammunition

Lol. I'm the teacher. But maybe that's what I've been doing wrong! On the plus side, I've already seen the WHOLE EXAM!!

Oh well in that case, post once and then go

Looks like we are on to scene 2, in the hospital. Since you completed a scene (scene 1, in the office) you may adjust your characters a little. How this works is that at the end of a scene you can choose to slide a dot over from one quality to its opposite. You can't slide dots between identities like VIGOR and GRACE, only matched pairs of qualities, like Honesty and Deceit. Your professions also give you an extra option, letting you slide dots between two unmatched qualities. For Ralph, the extra option is Selfishness-Observation, and for Vince the extra option is Wrath-Defiance.
You can also earn one extra dot in each scene by roleplaying some quality particularly well. For overcharging a grieving widow, Ralph earns an extra dot of Selfishness, which I've added to the character sheet.

-
Nice Ralph!
I think Vince will leave his alone. When you update the sheet, can you edit the original characters you gave us or do we just keep track of it ourselves?
-
-
I'll edit them in the original post here, just to keep them in the same place.
I'm going to a convention for the weekend and I probably won't have internet for the next two days. Feel free to hang around discussing nurses and investigation techniques.

Thanks, when I was writing the piece I kept editing the price higher and higher because I didn't know the adjusted cost of things in the era. Turns out its about $8000, which is quite the swindle.
Fun moment.

I'm not too sure of when a Selfishness roll would be used. I guess if I can use the extra option, I would to move a pip to Observation from Selfishness.
Could you tell me what Selfishness is for and then I will confirm the adjustment?
-
-
The rulebook says Selfishness is for taking advantage of suckers, and gives these examples...
Patient Selfishness: fake your own death, cheat on your taxes, disguise yourself as a cleaning lady
Cunning Selfishness: sneak up behind someone in order to stab them and take their wallet

I guess I'd rather the pip on Observation then instead.
I really can't see Ralph dressing up as a cleaning lady... and being convincing about it at all!
-
-
Plus you can leave the stabbing to Vince

Stabbing, shooting, punching, menacing, threatening, clubbing, drubbing, clouting, bashing, slashing, hacking, slapping, drowning, intimidating, and dressing up as a cleaning lady.
They are all for you Vince.

OK, at the end of scene 2 at the hospital, Ralph had observed that Lauren needed a night out, and unselfishly decided to give her one. One dot slides from selfishness to observation.
I'll do the scene with Vince and the doc now, then we can have the scene with Aggie at the office.

Sounds good. I'm actually having an Agricola night tonight, so why don't we worry about Ralph tomorrow. Also, please remember that I am in my room. I will post one short [IC] to indicate that Ralph goes to the office.
-
-
Vince can slide one dot after his scene with the doc, if he likes.
Edit: Also, Vince may return to the office for the scene with Aggie if he wants to butt in.
-
-
Nah, I'm fine especially since I really don't know what I'm doing yet
Maybe after he gets to punch or kiss something
-
-
Been there, done that
-
-
Fantastic scenes of alcoholic depravity there! Ralph earns a dot of corruption for being so horrible, and Vince earns a dot of Purity for trying to straighten out his pal. You may also take your free slides if you like.

I'll stick to what I've got. No sliding this time... wait, Ralph has been sliding for the last bit on his own!
