While poking around the site today I discovered that I had a designer entry on the site. (Jay Adan)
Is there a way to associate that entry with my account and thus list myself as a member of the vaunted "designers" on the site?

Usually Bob or I can assign them when we see the admin notes... if we missed any, just geekmail me. However, Bob and I tend not to approve people (Chris does most of that) - I don't know if he can assign a designer badge but I think he can. I'll check.

not every user wants the designer or publisher badges I always get confirmation that the user wants the badge, I do not assign them without user consent some users request the removal of the badges
if the user does not want the badge ...I leave a admin note in the entry saying who the user is and that they do not want the badge

By the way, I'm not sure if a production staffer is entitled to a badge...

Paolo Robino wrote: By the way, I'm not sure if a production staffer is entitled to a badge... They are entitled though we've raised the issue that the only kinds of badges are 'GAME DESIGNER' and 'PUBLISHER'. So they would have to take a 'GAME DESIGNER' badge until a better system is worked out.

I also contact new users that I spot in the forums who are also listed in the database, offering them uberbadges and microbadges.
Some of them must not have noticed their GeekMail though, as not all of them reply.

Some of them must not have noticed their GeekMail though, as not all of them reply. Many new users don't even know they have new mail. Some users report going months or years before they realize that little red mail icon near the top is their mail notifications. I think after a few days of logins without checking geekmail (but pending geekmail exists) the system should pop up a box that says, "you have pending geekmails - do you want to read them?".

Oh excellent. My "Game Designer" badge is quite a stretch (understatement of the year).
