Bitter News March 9, 2019

I figured I would do an update.

My weight is now around 200 lbs. I am stuck a bit here. Figure next I will be trying to do Lent and eat vegan as much as I can, which adds complications. Throw in that I may have issues with gluten, but I will sort it out.

An observation I am having now is about hedonics, and basing decisions around pain and pleasure. I am looking to be aware of how things impact me, but not base decisions around such. I am looking to use Lent as a time to do this more. I am calling this Hedonic awareness and Hedonic indifference (indifference to it impacting my decisions). Just because something feels one way or another isn't a sign it is good or bad. More is needed. I am to be in touch so I will be aware.

As far as other parts of Lent goes, I am looking to retreat from a number of things and do the equivalent of Jesus going into the desert. I am looking to shut off entertainment and take a break from such. I will do necessity, and eat simply, but avoid spending money as I can. I am withdrawing from a lot during Lent.

I am going to wrap up a few posts things here, game ideas I have. I will likely be away for Lent, so drop off for a month plus. I am following the Eastern calendar.

Bitter Truth, part 3... discomfort is discomfort, and can be good or bad.

I am thinking if anyone grew up in an abusive household, or suffered other trauma which was used by someone to force conformance, it could wound them. I am of the understanding now that discomfort is discomfort and doesn't mean good or bad. But for the one driven by fear, any form of discomfort can be seen as a sign of bad. I would say proper discipline should result in an empowering of an individual to do more and face more discomfort. This is what I get out of following the bitter line here.

Anyhow, just some thought. My weight loss has slowed some. I am down to below 215 at this point, closer to 210.

Bitter Truth, part 2... Below 220...

I figured I would do an update here. I am having a food list around the Keto diet. While I am not focused on accurate percentages, I am cutting out things (higher net carbs) and focusing on Keto. When I checked in September 2017, I believe my weight got over 270 lbs. My weight now is under 220. I replaced a focus on X% fat with cutting carbs and a focus on developing a taste for more bitter foods so I can grow up with my tastes. If anyone is interested in learning more on bitter, as a starting point, listen to this:

https://soundcloud.com/sarahferreirard/bitter-the-forgotten-...

Also, the streaming stuff went to the way side, for the most part. I will pop on PlutoTV stuff to just surf. I am now focused on ramping up on Linux, retro game stuff, and also learning more about diet. I am not getting to a gym either. I may have a body type that just either puts on or loses weight, but not muscle.

I want to get this down. I may of found a calling here, a call to focus on the bitter things in life, and the good in these.

Just a quick post.

While I have an interest in cryptography I found I am not able to proceed in it at this time. I am watching streaming video stuff like Netflix and Hulu, and trying to lose weight via keto and never at things sweet and eat more bitter.

Some ideas for a Battle Royal style tabletop game along the lines of PUBG and Fortnite I won't design.

And I won't get to finishing this up or work on it. I lack playtesters, and am without a car to get around. But, I am drawn to the concept, and feel it would be cool. Some ideas:
* Support 3-100 players at once. This requires a simple set of actions, performed real time, or simultaneously.
* Have a simple map with regions. As the game progresses, more and more regions disappear until there is one left. Once one region is left, there is a final showdown.
* Have some way to randomize loot generation as players seek an area or two. One basic idea is to have all loot generation to be in a draft area, and players who perform a draft action get first dibs.
* Gameplay must be fast.
* Players could collect items to improve modifiers.
* Players only in the same region of the map get to attack one another. This attacking could be considered automatic. Method for prioritizing attacks is needed.
* If playing with a large number of players, all combat resolution needs to be done via cards players have and needs to be fast in resolution.

Game needs to be fast, offer some strategic options, but focus on last man standing in the end. Game needs to capture this feel

I am pumped about this news in the forum on here about how GeekGold 2.0 will come out and be put on the blockchain. This is awesome. Now, tabletop games everywhere can get a piece of all the wealth that is connected with the tabletop game arena!

Word is Ernie will finally get paid, get his Lambo on the moonshot, and BGG will need a new mascot. Well not everything has its upside.

The announcement was here:

So game designing is tabled again, as I work on ramping up on Crypto technology.

I need to focus on things that will make a difference. As it is now, game design isn't. I can't even spend my own money, for a local ice cream place to have a checker set available for people to use, so I can go there.

With Bitcoin, and other things related to Blockchain, going through increased interest, and funding. There is likely working coming down the next few years. My plan now is focusing on such tech, and other issues, so I can land decent paying work. So the game design stuff is now tabled, as I work on that. The Acres of Diamonds project is a way for me to save money now.

Things change when you realize your car isn't working and you need to take the bus. So, my focus is now elsewhere.

Expect some things quiet here for awhile. This blog is just about games.
