Best of the RPGs Tournament - First Round Voting
-
The time has come to vote on your favorite RPGs in fierce head-to-head competition!
Below are the Top 64 seeded RPGs arranged in head-to-head matchups. To see them in a tournament-style bracket, you can go to this website: http://challonge.com/bestoftherpgs. (You don't have to create an account to view the bracket.)
How did I arrive at these 64 RPGs? For Seeds 1-56, I took the top-ranked RPGs in the database. In order to add more variety to the tournament, if an RPG had more than one edition in the top 56, I only kept the higher-ranked edition.
For Seeds 57-64, I opened it up to the RPGG community for nominations. We then voted on the nominees and came up with the eight "wild cards" for the tournament. If you want to see the nomination and voting process for the wild cards, you can go to this thread: Best of the RPGs Tournament - Seeds 57-64 Voting Thread
Each RPG's seed number is listed in parentheses after its name in the polls.

Okay, let's vote on our favorite RPGs. Most of us have not played all of these, but you can still vote based on genre, mechanics, description in the database, etc., or even whichever one looks the coolest. The criteria for "best RPG" is totally up to you, but make sure your vote gets heard on all of these!
Color commentary, reasons for voting one way or that other, and good-natured smack talk are strongly encouraged in the comments beneath the GeekList items.
Good luck to all the competing RPGs, and may the best RPG win!
