The Space: 1889 games

here.) I've not got the opportunity to actually play any of them yet, but I like the alt-victorian setting a lot, and I thought it might be interesting to do a geeklist about the the games set in this universe. Those who have played them are invited to share their experiences.
Very brief introduction for those not in the know: The ether turned out to be real, and its exploitation allowed Thomas Edison to build an "ether flyer" in which he reached the red planet in 1870. Mars turns out to be inhabited by a (suspiciously humanlike) native civilization, that once built the huge canals crisscrossing the planet but is now long since decadent. Nineteen years later, the planet has become yet another playground for the European powers, with the British and their crown colony of Syrtis Major in the lead. It's most valuable resource is "liftwood", a material with natural antigravity properties that allow the construction of flying ships much more sleek and agile than balloons or zeppelins.
