"Adventure Awaits...

"The Old World. A dark and grim place filled with peril and riven by war. From the teeming cities of the Empire to the Elf haunted forests to the lofty crags of the Worlds' Edge mountains where Dwarfs battle with Goblins and their vile kin, a shadow hangs over the world, cast by the dark corrupting hand of Chaos. All along its borders, the Old World's greatest nation, the Empire, seeks to hold back the dark tide. But even within the Empire there are enemies. Twisted cultists seek to bring about the Empire's fall, cold-hearted Beastmen stalk the forests, and loathsome Skaven ratmen spread plague and sickness from their suburban lairs.

"In Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, you are unlikely heroes in a grim world of perilous adventure. You venture into the dark corners of the Empire and deal with the threats that others cannot or will not face. You'll probably die alone in some festering hellhole, but maybe, just maybe, you'll survive foul Mutants, horrible diseases, insidious plots, and sanity-blasting rituals to reap Fate's rewards.

Originally published by Black Industries, a subsidiary of Games Workshop, the second edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay was passed on to Fantasy Flight Games. Major changes to the system include a complete overhaul of the magic system and updating the background to the wake of the Storm of Chaos and the sixth edition of Warhammer Fantasy Battle.

August 2009: Fantasy Flight Games announces the development of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 3rd Edition.

1 Hugelstein's Curiosities - Finest Wares & Provisions in Carroburg
This is a fan-made supplement for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, Second Edition. It describes a curiosity shop in the Imperial city of Carroburg, just north of Altdorf, an easy trip by river. This book focuses on the weird and sometimes useful objects scattered throughout the shop, and profiles its owner Alvin Hugelstein. Game masters should be able to use this book to add flavor to any shopping expedition. Some optional rules are also included to enliven your game and expand the role of Craftmanship.

5 Expanded Characters Module
This is a fan-made supplement for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, Second Edition. Much of what's included in this book will also be applicable to First and Third Edition. The Expanded Characters Module provides additional character generation tables and expands some of those found in the original game books. It reintroduces the concept of career classes to help differentiate starting characters' equipment and experience. (Career classes don't have any bearing after chargen.) There's an expanded table for doomings, tables for generating family details and more.
