The robot wars wiped the earth clean over a hundred years ago, and still humanity is struggling to rebuild. With few machines or technology and little electricity to power what they do have, the fledgling city of New Olympus must find help. Now, in their hour of need they turn once again to the machines that nearly destroyed them.
You are such a robot, your mind wiped clean so that you are no longer a danger to yourself or to others. Emotionless, a blank slate to write upon, you must rediscover the emotions that you have forgotten, relearn the skills you have lost, and help put humanity back on the right track again. But will your emotions develop in a more balanced manner this time, or will you again succumb to insanity and violence?
Liquid Crystal was written for the Game Chef (2006) Competition, and took a very respectable second place.
