Protectors of Power is a "superhero roleplaying rule system" published serially by Joseph Teller in Alarums & Excursions. Characters in the game have six Main Statistics (Attributes) including Strength, Agility, Stamina, Memory, Appearance, and Soul. The scores for these are generated randomly with percentile rolls, yielding values of 10-100% (scores less than 10% are re-rolled). Characters also have Minor Statistics (demographic traits) such as height, hair color, and age. All actions in the game are performed by utilizing Skills, selected at character creation. Skills have initial values derived by scaling the Main Statistic upon which they are based, ranging from 2-20%. Skill numeric ratings can subsequently be raised during play. Super powers follow a separate, fairly complex, rule.
