Câmelot is a German fantasy RPG set on the continent of Erea on the world of Gaya. The theme of the world is inspired by northern European legends, but has nothing to do with the Arthurian myths. Instead, it is a world inhabited by the standard fantasy races of humans, elfs, dwarves, and orcs.
The game only uses six-sided dice. Character attributes are generated randomly. The choice of the character's race modifies his attributes or secondary values, and gives the chance to gain some starting skills. A player also has to select a class from four main classes: knight, warrior, witch, or mage.
Combat is a series of attack and defense roles. The attacker has to score a result of at least 20 on 4d6 + his attack value to make a successful attack. The defender may roll 4d6 + his defensive value to avoid the blow. Damage is subtracted from a pool of life points. Armor reduces this damage.
The magic system uses pre-defined spells that cost a certain amount of spell points. A character is also required to pass a 4d6 + magic skill > 20 check to determine if a spell can be cast successfully.
During their adventures, characters gain experience points and advance and gain levels, which lets them increase attributes and learn new skills.
