from The Gist:
You have all been assembled as an elite task team of capybaras, with the grand goal of stealing the Awesome Lemon: the one citrus that can enhance hot spring baths to hitherto unachieved levels of ecstasy and comfort.
There’s a twist, though – you are strangers, called to this mission from all four corners of the Earth . There may be a traitor in your midst. Can you afford to trust one another?
user summary:
Rules-light RPG with table-based random scenario and win condition, plus a twist, generated by GM.
Win conditions are defined in the rules and used in the form of a "Win Conditions" deck. The deck is built differently depending on the number of characters.
Characters are based on tropes, each defined by four adjectives. Players choose one trope for their character from a list of six.
Tests are resolved by dice rolls. A player gets one die, plus an additional die for each adjective in their trope that could apply to the test. Difficulty is adjusted by number of successes required. Die rolls of four through six are counted as successes.
Each character starts with 2 trust tokens are used to either aid or hinder die rolls. If zero tokens remain in the game, the scenario fails.
When the players fail three consecutive tasks they gain an "escalation token" which allows each capybara to add a new adjective to their list. If three escalation tokens are gained, the scenario fails.
