A failure as far as the 24hr game exercise goes, but a useful one, this contains the seeds of what will probably become a pretty good game.
Characters have three main attributes: Thinking, Crafting, Hitting. There are additionally three secondary attributes: Toughness, Speed, Stubbornness. There are also three races from which to choose: Gnomes (thinkers), Gremlins (workers), and Goblins (fighters).
Task resolution is performed by rolling a number of dice equal to the appropriate attribute, opposed by a similar roll, with the higher roll succeeding. The higher the difficulty, the more dice are rolled in opposition. Risky actions will lead to attributes being reduced (these penalties can be recovered with rest).
The town map is generated randomly from a table of possible results for each cell in the grid.
