Strange Creature, Strange Land is a minimalist/micro RPG system, designed to provide a simple solution to turning great stories into usable tabletop gaming scenarios. As the title may suggest, the game focuses on unusual little creatures exploring and adventuring in fantastical lands.
The concept is simple; the GM pits a group of strange creatures against a quest into unknown lands. Creatures have amazing capabilities, but being small and inexperienced as adventurers, they do have a tendency to wear themselves out. As such, a creature’s ability to make ‘tests’ and overcome obstacles is limited and they should try not to overexert themselves, to avoid getting exhausted before the adventure ends.
