Richard Demarco, CBE (born 1930 in Portobello, Scotland) is a Scottish artist, arts promoter, and professor who has worked as an illustrator for Iron Crown Enterprises. His 1984 "Three Men" product listing illustration was used by Iron Crown Enterprises in many of their promotional items.
In 1963, he co-founded the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh. In 1966, he left the Traverse Theatre to establish what became the Richard Demarco Gallery and which has helped promote cultural links with Eastern Europe. Richard Demarco has attended every Edinburgh Festival, arts and cultural festivals that take place every August in Edinburgh. From 1993 to 2000, he was a professor of European Culture at the University of Kingston.
In 1976, he received a Gold Medal from the Polish government. In 1986, he was made a Cavaliere of the Italian Republic. He has also been awarded several honorary doctorates in Europe and North America.
