Joseph Eggleston "Joe" Johnston, II (born May 13, 1950 in Fort Worth, Texas) is an American artist and film director who is probably best known for directing the movies as Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Jumanji, The Rocketeer, Jurassic Park III, and October Sky.
Johnston along artist Ralph McQuarrie was responsible for the design of Boba Fett's distinctive armor and equipment. During Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope he played an Imperial gunner and a backpacked Spacetrooper. He also worked on a number of concept designs for Battlestar Galactica.
