Albrecht Dürer (May 21, 1471 - April 6, 1528) was a German artist from Nuremberg.
He has be considered The master artist of the Northern Renaissance in Europe. His younger brother Hans Dürer (1490 - c. 1538) was also a German Renaissance artist and was the court painter for Sigismund I of Poland.
His well-known works include the Apocalypse woodcuts. For example, his 1513 copper engraving Knight, Death, and the Devil was used as the cover artwork for the game Days of Knights.
His art is used in the Ythrek role-playing game supplement.
