From official website:
Chaz Kemp is an Art Nouveau illustrator. He really enjoys using CorelDraw, which he learned to use from his mentor Bill McCune. He took his education to the next level by studying at the Art Institute of Colorado.
He primarily uses CorelDraw to create his work, utilizing a vexel style. This gives his work a look that is quite different than the painterly, photo-realistic art made popular today.
Chaz's primary artistic influences include Alphonse Mucha, Ivan Bilibin and American comics. He has also, as of late, become really enamored of the steampunk movement.
From Erisian Entertainment website:
Chaz is a freelance artist (read: out of work) who happened upon Erisian's website and decided right then and there to offer his services to Ben... OK - he begged & pleaded until Ben finally relented. So now Chaz is the newest artist for Erisian! Woo Hoo! This absolutely beats being a cabin boy for drunk muppets in the land-locked state of Colorado. (The smell.... Oh gawd the smell...)
Chaz received his training (read: they MADE him study) at the Art Institute of Colorado and soon after jumped into being an illustrator & graphic designer for the corporate world. (10 long years which he'll never get back... sadly...) Strangely enough, in the corporate world they never asked him to draw elves, vampires or big giant mecha - they obviously had no idea what true art was. So he did the only thing that he could do... he jumped back OUT of the corporate world and into the
gaming, fantasy & sci-fi publishing world, 'cuz that's what smart muppets do. :)
When he's not drawing the pretty pretty pictures he's in two bands, Pandora Celtica & Whirly Jig, where he sings and plays the dumbek (a middle eastern drum). He also games, watches TV with his girlfriend Annie and does a variety of other muppet-like things. As you could probably sense, he likes muppets. What Chaz doesn't know is that the muppets like him too. They like him so much that they do things to him... while he sleeps... they are dirty naughty muppets... They steal his toilet paper and make his dice roll funny. Poopy, tricksey muppets...
