Stephanie Heike is a comic book artist, writer, editor and publisher. She majored in Fine Arts, but ended up graduating with a BS in English, a perfect combo for comic book creativity.
Steph has been working as a professional comic book artist and has freelanced for various companies in the comics field since 1988, including pencilling on features like the Atomic Sub and Venus for Big Bang Comics at Image Comics in the 90's as Stephanie Sanderson. Steph has been freelancing for AC Comics since 1991, first as a. penciller on books like Cat-Man, All Hero Retro Comics, and Big 'Uns. After a long term business correspondence, she married her charming husband, Mark in 2000.
Steph has been writing, pencilling, inking, lettering and coloring covers for books for AC. She is currently an assistant editor on the Femforce books. She also set up AC's comic web shop and does a lot of behind the scenes production. Go to the link on our contact page for AC books.
Mark and Stephanie are also always working on new freelance jobs in the comics industry Stephanie also does freelance creative and production work for various publishers includes Archie Comics, Penny Farthing Press, Top Cow and Chaos Comics. She has even worked on a webcomic, lettering and coloring an installment of Quickshot for Dario Carrasco's Rapid Comix. Her and her husband are proud to have worked on the Calgary Stampede comic for the world famous Calgary Stampede in 2006.
21st Centurions is Steph's color superheroic comic book series. Three issues of 21st Centurions (numbers zero, 1 and 2) have been published so far and have sold through Diamond Distribution under Centurion Premiere. Issue three/four of 21st is currently in progress.
Stephanie is currently working as a freelancer on the comic book for the famous orange cat, Garfield for Kaboom (an imprint of Boom Studios). As of 2014, Stephanie is Executive Editor at AC Comics.
