Richard H. Eney (September 13, 1932 — December 22, 2006) published numerous fanzines since discovering fandom in 1949. In 1959, Eney published Fancyclopedia 2, explaining several terms and jokes used by fans of that era (Fancyclopedia II, known colloquially as Fancy, is considered the definitive dictionary of fandom through the 1950s). Two years later, Eney ran for TAFF, losing to Ron Ellik. Eney worked on committees for Discon I, Discon II, and Constellation and was the Fan Guest of Honor at LA Con II, the 1984 Worldcon. He served as OE of FAPA and SAPS and was a member of The Cult and the Washington in '77 Worldcon bid. He was toastmaster at Conterpoint 1993. He was made a Knight of St. Fantony in 1965.
His various publications included Stupifying Stories, A Sense of FAPA, It's Eney's Fault, In Part Scal'd, Discon I Proceedings, Guide to the Greek and Roman Gods, Curse You, Red Baron!, Target FAPA, Keebird, Persephone in Elysium. Operation Crifanac was his publishing house.
He also published a 'zine in the early issues of Alarums & Excursions.
