Thomas is a Tabletop Role-Playing Game designer who specializes in small pocket games and rules-lite systems. Thomas started out writing, designing, formatting, and doing the layout for his games by himself without assistance. His first publications were:
The Simplistic System: A Genre Agnostic rules-lite Role-Playing Game that involved a standard deck of playing cards and two six-sided dice to resolve actions at a random difficulty. It was available for a few months and then taken down by Mr.Novosel because of his urge to bring a higher quality product to his name, it was released once again in Early March 2015 in a new edition with a new image, look, and feel.
6Fistfuls: This game was about dice pools and how each die rolled had a value that contributed to the experience of the game. The game used pools of six-sided dice, where each dice added to the description of success. It was taken down by Mr.Novosel a few months after release, when he began revising and editting publications. It has not been released once again as of 3/24/2015.
Might, Mental, Magic!: This being another game small in proportions but big in effect was a fantasy game of high magic. It used a unique inventory system that did not track weights, or size, but in fact limited the number of objects able to be carried so that Inventory management itself was an integral part of game-play and success in the Players adventures! This game was released multiple times, but is actually in the process of being put into a second edition as of 3/24/2015 (it is expected to be released in April 2015).
He has been publishing his games online since January 2014 under the publishing name of Orbit Above Games.
Thomas Novosel has also written articles for the gaming website "Giant from the North" on game design. Besides this he can also be found on Patreon where he creates pocket games for patrons as an early access situation.
Mr.Novosel is also known to assist and aid designers in their efforts to become published by providing constructive criticism from an advisory position, as well as providing his skills in layout and formatting.
