César López Vera, also known under only his first name, was a comic artist from Madrid who began his career in 1958. He started out drawing for Toray collections like 'Jim Huracán', 'Novelas Gráficas Clásicas', 'Hazañas Bélicas' and 'Hazañas del Oeste'. López contributed horror comics like the series 'The Saga Of The Frankenstein's Monster' to Skywald magazines Psycho, Nightmare and Scream, teaming up with scriptwriter Al Hewetson. He did work in the same genre for Imperia in France ('Ögan'). He did this work as an agency artist at Selecciones Ilustradas about the mid 1970s. His agency work was also featured in the Spanish magazines Kung-Fu, Dossier Negro and Rufus. In 1986 he participated in the Pahe association (Panorama Actual de la Historieta Española).
