Meguey Baker (born 1971 in upstate New York) is a game designer and independent publisher who is known for designing role-playing games. She publishes games through the independent imprint Night Sky Games.
Meguey has been a gamer since she was a little kid in the 70s, and has been gaming ever since. She designs games that are accessible to folks who have never played a role-playing game before, provide great story quickly, and fit in a life that’s full of other things. Her games have been playtested extensively in schools and library summer programs for teens, as well as at gaming conventions and in gaming groups of adults.
She is based in New England, where she attends gaming conventions, demoes and sells her games, and talks about game design and game play.
Outside of gaming, she is a sex ed teacher, a textile artist, and a conservation specialist at the local museum.
She is the author, among other games, of A Thousand and One Nights, based on the collection of Arabic stories.
She has been married to fellow game designer D. Vincent Baker and has been living in Greenfield, Massachusetts.
