Samuel John Ross, Jr. (born July 15, 1971 in Cumberland, Maryland) is a game writer, game designer, graphic artist, and game contributor who has written for role-playing game material for Last Unicorn, The Avalon Hill Game Co (TAHGC), Guardians of Order, Steve Jackson Games, TSR, Wizards of the Coast, White Wolf, West End Games, and Flying Buffalo.
Ross is the owner and creator of Cumberland Games & Diversions, a web-based electronic publishing company specializing in game-related documents and TrueType fonts.
He has contributed to magazines such as Pyramid, Autoduel Quarterly, White Wolf, Roleplayer, Shadis, and Dragon.
He received an Origins award nomination when he briefly served as editor of the Pyramid magazine.
Note: This is a different person than Sebastian John Ross (1919–2008), an American-born Australian artist famous for his miniature silhouette portraits.
