From the Tim Pollard's Website:
I've been performing as Nottingham's most famous outlaw Robin Hood for nearly nineteen years now, and as such have represented the City of Nottingham both nationally and internationally as their 'official Robin Hood' in New York, Chicago, Houston, Toronto and Hameln (home of the famous Pied Piper)!
I've also appeared across the UK at banquets, shows and charity events, including regular appearances at The Sheriff's Lodge (Nottingham), Center Parcs (Sherwood Forest), Warwick Castle, Peckforton Castle, and The Tales of Robin Hood and Knights Out (Reading) - and I even hosted the 1999 'Miss Nottingham' final!
As Robin Hood (or myself) I have also appeared in TV shows such as Blue Peter, The Oxford Road Show, Blind Date, The Big Breakfast (both as Robin Hood and a fight choreographer), Central News, Midlands Report, Midlands Today and a bizarre Channel 5 show about baseball - I still have no real idea what that was all about! As an actor I have appeared in the BBC's Common As Muck and ITV's Moll Flanders. I've also toured with psychedelic prog-rock band Hawkwind as part of their stage show!
I've been a wargamer and roleplayer since 1978 and have worked full and part time in the gaming business for many years, including several years working for Games Workshop and Citadel Miniatures as a writer, editor, artist and art manager at their Design Studio. A list of GW products I have had serious input to includes Warhammer Armies, WH40K, the WFRP adventures series, a great deal of work on editorials, reviews and advertising copywriting for White Dwarf magazine, Bloodbowl, Space Hulk and others. I also edited and produced the initial FLINTLOQUE line of table-top Napoleonic fantasy games for Alternative Armies, and co-wrote the entry for Shaka Zulu in Steve Jackson Games GURPS Who's Who I and worked on the PC first person action game No-One Lives Forever. I still try to game regularly - work, Robin Hooding and the rest of life permitting!
