Steve is a long time RPG hobbyist, having started in 1979 with the basic D&D set after the furor of the James Dallas Eggbert II disappearance.
He also plays boardgames and is a reformed CCG collector. Outside of gaming, his hobbies include scouting, balloon-twisting, juggling, and website design.
The biggest recognition he's received for his websites is for his Cruel Site of the Day winning www.saynotograndpajoe.com which was also a Yahoo Pick of the Day. Both awards are now defunct, but Steve denies any responsibility.
For those who know Scouting, Steve is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow. He's received the Silver Beaver, District Award of Merit, and the Founder's Award. His proudest moment was receiving the Harold Oatley Service award, an award named after his former chapter adviser and presented annually back when there was a Mi-Gi-Si O-Paw-Gan Lodge. In 2015 he was recognized with the Centurion Award by the Order of the Arrow.
That's probaby some crap over there.
